I would highly recommend Emerging Landscape. Anthony is a joy to work with and his service is very good value for money. The initial briefing session was insightful & thorough and we were presented with draft plans and renders to stimulate our thoughts and help us decide on our options. We found Anthony very engaging and easy to communicate with. His initial visit to our site was great. It gave us good opportunity to discuss options that suit the way we want to use our garden and to help us decide on the particular details that are important to us.

Anthony will challenge our thoughts in a positive way to provoke debate on the various ideas in order to reach a favourable outcome, as options can be overwhelming at times.

The 2D & 3D renders are high quality and have really helped my wife with visualising our scheme.

We are planning an extension to our property which will require the garden to be redesigned and so decided to use Anthony to help us with that. Anthony spent time with us both talking through what we want and need from our garden. It was really helpful to do this as it encouraged us to step back and think about it in a way that we would not have done on our own. Anthony was easy to talk to and work with and we felt he really listened to us. Following a detailed survey, Anthony presented us with a concept drawing for discussion. We spent over an hour with him talking it through and understanding the design which was thorough and well thought through, incorporating our needs/ desires for the garden. We were really pleased with what Anthony designed for us, but there were areas we challenged and we really appreciated Anthony's collaborative and open minded approach in talking these through as opposed to being completely wedded to what he has designed. It really felt like a two way approach. We would happily recommend Anthony's skill and services.

Although having many landscape designers in our local area, we chose Anthony Arnold “Emerging Landscape” because of his ability to listen and convert conversation and ideas into reality. From our first point of contact Emerging Landscape have approached the work in a professional manner, with creativity in design, sensitivity to the requirements of the area and an eye for detail and quality. We had Anthony over to help us with an initial consultation ahead of our building extension works. We wanted his advice regarding infrastructure planning for the garden spaces immediate to our extension - this meant we could not only plan our budgets for the landscaping works in advance but we could also discuss efficiency gains to be had with Anthony by using trades, access and materials from the building works to facilitate some of the landscaping at the same time. We were also able to use much of Anthony’s knowledge allowing our architects and builders to adjust their plans for drainage, irrigation, lighting, power and hardscaping. Needless to say, we will be using Anthony to design our garden once we can point a new budget to it; he communicates well, is trustworthy, knowledgable and consistently over delivers.

I met Anthony via a local networking group and was inspired by his passion for gardens. Anthony was so easy to speak to and I was able to discuss my ideas and Anthony quickly understood my needs asking useful questions and giving me things to think about that will make my outdoor space really work for me. The design he came up with was AMAZING! Even better than anything I could have thought of giving me usable space that will really work for me. I am so pleased. After 20+ years of living in the same house which had undergone numerous changes over the years, the garden was due a ‘makeover’ it had served us well as a family garden but our needs had changed (along with the ability to manage it) therefore time to look for an ‘expert’… Anthony Arnold of Emerging Landscapes stood out from others with the time he took to listen and understand our needs, wishes and not least, budget constraints. His approach is collaborative, very important as we wished to retain a few existing features which he needed to incorporate in the design. He explained and involved us in the design process along the way, from detailed site survey (we have a terraced garden, so not an easy task) concept drawing to final plan. He is innovative and creative and his desire to create a beautiful space that answers our needs and we can enjoy for many more years with minimum maintenance was very apparent. Our enthusiasm for the garden has been re-ignited.

From the beginning of the engagement we were impressed with Anthony's professionalism, his approach to the project and his attention to detail. He mapped out the process very clearly and was completely transparent regarding risks (and mitigation) and scope.

His attitude and passion for creating something beautiful whilst carefully considering the surroundings is exactly what we wanted.

His "build" team is as equally professional and passionate about their work. When issues arose they were all prepared to discuss options with us, and any remediation was addressed in a timely manner.

The project has been managed excellently during what has been an unprecedented time. We even had the added complication of gasworks to contend with!

We now have a beautiful driveway that we're proud of, and which is regularly commented on by neighbours. For future work I would absolutely go back to Anthony.

My wife and I were struggling with ideas on how to landscape and rejuvenate our aged and rather overgrown garden. I was especially hesitant with regards to potential structural problems (we are on a slope, overlooking many trees of a park and have two large trees in the centre of our garden). Anthony was extremely reassuring and designed a fantastic plan for our garden, meeting our expectations with essentially the first draft. He has made a potentially stressful endeavour a lot easier by providing not only fantastic artistic design, but accompanying that with in-depth knowledge regarding plants and building products / construction expertise. He has been a pleasure to work with.

We brought Anthony on board to help us with the masterplanning of the landscape spaces at our property. He was an absolute pleasure to work with and we would totally recommend him to others in design and technical masterplanning. Anthony challenged us to think outside the box and we have ended up with an amazing garden.

Our garden has distinct zones which we wanted to keep each with their own identity and yet find themes that could tie all the spaces together. We had multiple construction and landscape projects going at the same time therefore it was essential to have someone with experience in landscaping, construction and design as well as someone willing to advise on matters outside of the immediate design brief, and be able to work with our other contractors. Anthony was able to accomplish all of that professionally offering us design solutions and collaborative advice through-out. We are really proud of the end result.

I cannot recommend Anthony highly enough. He took on a very ambitious project, where initial planning wasn't easy as the site wasn't easy to survey. Nevertheless he helped us to create a bold vision - far more impactful than I would have ever been able to. As the project progressed, Anthony was able to flex the initial design as construction progressed. We decided to progress the project during the C19 restrictions and sourcing materials became increasingly difficult. Anthony and his team went to great lengths to find high quality materials. With regards construction, Anthony's team was tremendous. Given the nature of the site, much of the work had to be carried out manually and for nearly three months, the team worked tirelessly. Thank you Anthony for a job very well done.

Anthony and his team were recommended to us by a neighbour. We are very grateful that they were! We needed help with scoping and planning the project, let alone the execution, and Emerging came up trumps in all departments.
